On Saturday 1st March we took on Dartford away in the Daniels Shield. Although we dominated this game for periods, we gave ourselves a mountain to climb by conceding two sloppy goals within the first 3 minutes. A third saw us 3-0 down before we hit back with an excellent goal from James Keyworth. Tom Wadlow tenaciously won the ball in the last third and a quick succession of passes gave James a shooting chance which he did not miss. 3-1 at half time.

Once again we went to sleep at the start of the second period and now found ourselves 4-1 behind. We then proceeded to control the rest of the game with an excellent team effort. We kept going right to the end but were unable to find the Dartford net again before the final whistle.

We are certainly competing in games but we are also conceding far too many goals. We need to sort this out if we are to fulfil our potential.

One very positive note was the excellent performance of Simon Fanner at the back. Not only was he a rock in the centre but he also had two fine shots at the other end.
