This was the first part of a gruelling double header and in essence we did not start playing until the last 5 minutes of the first half. Until then we had allowed TD to feel they could get something out of the fixture.

Although the warning signs were there we certainly did not learn from their tactic of the long ball over the top and after about 15 minutes their one speedy forward got on the end of another such ball, outstripped the defence and finished well.

At last this seemed to wake us up and within 5 minutes or so we had turned the match around. Luke Saunders set up both of our goals with his good vision and Daniel Howse did the rest. Two good firm and accurate strikes taking his season's tally to 10. 2-1 to us at half time.

Although we never really got on top in the second half, nor were we seriously threatened either and in the end we took the points reasonably comfortably. Nonetheless we had made it difficult for ourselves early on and we must learn not to concede so easily.

We took a 10 minute rest before embarking on the second part of today's arrangements.
