Boston JFC v Alford Town FC

Score 2 – 1 half time Full time & After Extra Time 2 – 2

Boston JFC won 4-2 on penalties

(Boston are from the A League)

Alford Town turned up today and put in a shift and a half. We came back from 2-0 down to a respectable 2-1 half time score thanks to the hard work of our great team and the skill of Donni Bailey.

We came out ready and up for it in the second half. Boston were playing some good football. We expected a good game but I'm not so sure they were ready for us.

We battled hard eventually getting a well deserved equalizer from our new signing Parlak.

We finished full time play at 2-2 and at the end of extra time the score was the same with both team's showing signs of tiredness.

After a physical game we all shook hands and wished the other team well with the shoot out which was to come. Denby and Bailey tucked their penalties away making it 2-2 on penalties, but Briggs had his effort saved and Langlois was just over.

We lost 4-2 on penalties but it was the best game of the season for us. Well played Boston, I'm sure our paths will cross again.

Team: Tait, Langlois. Lowes, Marshall, Briggs (c), Paul, Walsh, Day, Bailey, Denby Cole and Parlak,

Mid Lincs B Division Under 15’s 29/09/2012
Cranwell v Alford Town FC

Score 0 – 4 half time Full time 0 – 10 - a great win for Alford Town.

Alford Town U15’s have now won 5 straight games in a row only conceding 2 goals whilst scoring 33 goals.
On Saturday we took the challenge to Cranwell. We settled down quickly playing some great football.

Walsh had an early opportunity but the keeper saved. Denby slotted home the first goal of the day and it wasn’t long before he took the pass from Bailey and secured his second of the match. The third goal came from a great corner delivered by Archie Paul. It found James Cole who buried it in the back of the net.

Walsh found himself one on one with the keeper but sent the ball wide of the goal. Denby claimed his hattrick as he hit his 3rd goal of the game and Alfords 4th before half time. It wasn’t long before Bailey the league’s top goal score tucked away his 11th goal in 5 matches with help from Langlois, you just knew it wouldn’t be his last of the day.
Archie Paul and Bailey worked well together supplying Marshall with the opportunity to get his name on the score sheet for Alford’s 6th goal. Cole again knocked in another goal from a corner ball delivered by Archie Paul for our 7th goal. Archie Paul had set a few up today and fancied his name on one for Alford’s 8th goal and also buried the 9th goal too.
Bailey finished the goal scoring off by taking the score to an impressive 0-10 win for Alford Town.

We played some fantastic football as a team. The keeper and the back four were impenetrable, the midfield worked like Trojans and the strike force were untouchable.
Man of the Match: Archie Paul
