Text Box: Our League encounter against in-form St Helens was always going to be difficult and so it proved on Sunday 7th March. However, as so often this season there were positives in this defeat —for further details go to the Results & Stats page (link below).

We are sad to report the departure of both Jamie Brewster and Connor Card from the squad. We wish them well for the future and thank them for their services.

On the contrary we are delighted to welcome goalkeeper Liam Clough and midfielder Stefan Evans who have just signed for the side. We hope they will enjoy their football with us and they will certainly give us more strength in depth.

Training We now have one further session on a Thursday evening at John Spendluffe Technology College Sports Hall, beginning at 5.30 pm & finishing around 6.40 pm, before we move back to training on grass at the club on 18th March. This latter session will also start at 5.30 pm.

We are very much indebted to CheekyOffer.com who have kindly sponsored our green “change” or “away” shirt. Why not click on the logo for a simpler/cheaper way to buy and sell goods. Here is a team photo taken with the Cheeky Offer shirts on just after our game against Old Leake.

The excellent Rain/training jackets that the lads have been issued with have been supplied by the “Jolly Friar” Fish & Chip shop in Alford. We are most grateful to them for their generosity. Why not stop off on your way home from training and give them some extra trade for their trouble!

We are very grateful to our main sponsors Topps Tiles for providing our superb first kit for this season.

Training Tip …..

Don’t take more touches than you need!

Decide quickly what you are going to do and either release the ball

(for a pass, clearance or shot) or accelerate into a run so that you attack the opposition with determination and pace.

But never run with the ball in your defensive third!
